Post Diploma in Industrial Safety
Under Section 40(b) of the factory Act, 1948, Govt. of India authorized the state Govt. to make it mandatory for the industrial units to appoint safety officer to protect the workers from occupational hazards like bodily injuries, poisoning diseases etc. Under this provision and the rules framed by the Directorate General, Factory Advisory Services & Central Labour Institution Officers have to possess formal safety education & Diploma in Industrial Safety. To fulfill the need for such qualified safety officials and to help spread of safety education, the institute offers 1 year post Diploma course in Industrial Safety. The syllabus of the course is based on and is similar to Diploma offered by the central labour institute & the Regional Labour Institutes in the country.
