CHINMAYA INSTITUTE OF FIRE & SAFETY ENGINEERING(CIFSE) is a professional study wing of Chinmaya Technical Academy (CTA) & is a constitute of Manas Memorial Educational Trust(MMET). “ CIFSE “ offers PDIS(Post Diploma in Industrial Safety)one year full time regular course, which is approved by Department of industries, Govt. of Orissa and affiliated to State Council for Technical Education and Training, Orissa. The Governing Body off the trust constitutes the group of life members of Chinmaya Mission who are dedicated with service attitude and are committed to provide best education and training to its student and trainees. The Governing Body has appointed a group of technical person who are responsible in Managing the institute for achieving the objective of parent organization, i.e. Chinmaya Academy.
As CIFSE is a corporate member of National Safety Council is committed to fulfill the Safety objectives of the Nation. Chinmaya Technical Academy has been awarded twice for its Quality Training & Technical Education. In the year 2007 CTA received “SHIKSHA BHARTI AWARD” at New Delhi and in the year 2008 CTA was awarded with “TECHNICAL EDUCATION EXCELLENCE AWARD”. We believe that achievement of academic excellence with ethical values impressed upon the mind of a student is sure to lead him towards a real success in life. It has established its reputation not only in the home state but also other states across the country.

OUR CAMPUS
We are situated at IDL Link Road, Fertilizer Township,10 kms from the steel city of Rourkela of Orissa State. It is a distance of about 9 kms from Panposh, 10 kms from Rourkela Railway Station. The Institute has well furnished Building surrounded by beautiful plantations. The institute is connected by a permanent road of 1 and ½ kms with the national highway no 023. Our Campus is located in between Rourkela Steel Plant, Gulf Oil Corporation Limited (IDL Division) and Orissa Industries Ltd. Besides these there are a lot of S.S.I. industries and Sponge iron factories within a radius of kms from the institute.
VISION
CHINMAYA INSTITUTE OF FIRE & SAFETY ENGINEERING (CIFSE) aims to provide Safety education and training to produce competent safety Officers and Engineers who would be able to take up the challenges faced by the industrial sectors which are undergoing radical transformation due to challenges of globalization process, It stands for discipline and sense of commitment. It aims to include a sense of entrepreneurship and leadership among the students to prepare them for tomorrow. CIFSE also aims to provide various modular/refresher courses to the working professionals.
The institute has provided education and training to scores of young students who have been suitably employed in different public and private sector organization over the years. The facilities of campus, library and teaching provided by the institute are second to none in the realm of technical studies. Quality training and keeping pace with the demand on modern trends in technical education and changes taking place around has been the vision of the institute all along.
The library maintained by the institute contains books of very high, informative and educative value. Students have been immensely benefited by the research journals and magazine provided by the institute. Research projects undertaken by the institute have provided the students with the required practical training and input so as to include in them professional attitude and aptitude.
Spoken English and personality development programs with emphasis on group discussion, seminar and mock interviews are held regularly in order to instill the right amount of confidence in the students so as to prepare them to successfully complete in the job market. Hostel facilities are also provided to both boy and girl students. Personal care is taken in respect of each and every student with a view to provide assistance in the field of job placement. Over the years the credibility and reputation of the institution has grown in terms of quality of education in providing job to successful students.

The Academic atmosphere of the institute is fitted with adequate infrastructure facilities with the objective to impart the best possible technical education and training to the aspirants Apart from qualified and experienced teaching staff,well furnished class rooms with modem amenities including Audio Visual aids ,Computer Laboratory ,Placement Assistance Facility ,overhead projector and public address system add variety and depth to the support facilities.
